    What a standard boiler service covers

    • Visual inspection of the boiler and surrounding area for leaks, corrosion or damage.

    • Checking flues and ventilation to ensure combustion gases are expelled safely.

    • Examination and testing of controls, valves and safety devices.

    • Inspection and cleaning of burners, heat exchangers, condensate trap and magnetic filters

    • Measuring gas pressure and combustion performance (CO/CO2 levels) where applicable.

    • Checking system pressures and topping up with water if necessary.

  • Gas safety inspections from ÂŁ60+vat

    A gas safety inspection ensures that all gas appliances, pipework and flues in a property are operating safely and efficiently. Regular inspections identify leaks, faulty appliances and ventilation issues that could lead to gas leaks, carbon monoxide poisoning or fire.

    What a gas safety inspection covers

    • Visual check of all applience’s, visible pipework and fittings for signs of damage or corrosion.

    • Inspection and testing of gas appliances (boilers, cookers, fires, water heaters) for correct operation and combustion.

    • Flue and chimney checks to ensure safe removal of combustion gases.

    • Assessment of ventilation to confirm adequate air supply for appliances.

    • Tightness testing where appropriate to detect leaks.

    • Carbon monoxide checks using calibrated detectors.

    • Verification of appliance installation and manufacturer’s instructions compliance.

    • Identification of any unsafe conditions and recommended remedial actions.

    Frequency

    • Landlords: annual gas safety checks for all rented properties are a legal requirement in the UK. A Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) should be issued after the inspection

    • Homeowners: while not legally required, an annual inspection is strongly recommended for peace of mind and safety.
